In this show, cybersecurity enthusiast and graduate student, Saman Fatima, will dive into the unique experiences and challenges faced by international students pursuing higher education in the United States.
With over five years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, Saman has a wealth of knowledge in the field of cybersecurity, and she is passionate about sharing her insights with others. As a volunteer instructor at CyberPreserve and a global member, mentor, and mentee at Women in Cybersecurity (WiCyS), she is dedicated to promoting diversity and inclusion in the industry.
In 'Off The Record With Saman,' Saman will be joined by fellow students and faculty members to discuss a wide range of topics, including the selection and VISA process, adjusting to a new country and culture, the education system, food, and job searches. Saman's guests will bring their own unique perspectives and insights to the table, and together, they will explore the joys and challenges of studying abroad.
As a student herself, Saman knows firsthand the obstacles faced by international students, and she is passionate about creating a community where they can come together to share their experiences and support one another. Her guests will come from a variety of backgrounds and disciplines, but they will all share one thing in common: a deep commitment to learning and growing in their fields.
